Sabine baby blanket, crochet pattern

I've made many crochet baby blankets for all babies who have come to the world in my family and friends because I think each baby should get an own one, exclusive and unique. However, this new crochet baby blanket is special because it was made for a baby unknown to me.

He tejido muchas mantas de ganchillo para bebé, para todos los bebés que han ido llegando a mi entorno familiar y de amigos, porque opino que cada bebé debería tener la suya propia, exclusiva y única. Sin embargo, esta nueva manta de ganchillo es especial porque está hecha para un bebé que no conozco.

Tuve que tejerla en tiempo record. Bueno, lo cierto es que tampoco es muy difícil de hacer, como veis, y eso ayudó mucho.

I needed to crochet this blanket in a record time. Well, it isn't very hard to make indeed, as you see, and that helped me a lot.

He usado lana Mondial-AMI sobrante de otros proyectos y aguja de ganchillo de 3 mm.

I used Mondial-AMI yarn remaining from previous projects and crochet hook 3 mm.

Las cuatro esquinas están terminadas con borlas de diferentes colores. Pensando en aquellas de vosotras que no las habéis hecho nunca y os gustaría aprender, he encontrado este estupendo tutorial.

En mi anterior post os hablé de la acción solidaria La Manta de la Vida y os mostraba mi primera aportación a ella. Esta segunda manta la he podido terminar justo al límite de tiempo. Han sido dos semanas intensas en las que muchas tejedoras nos hemos unido, conocido, intercambiado conocimientos, tutoriales y consejos, compartido emociones...

In my previous post I talked you about the solidarity action "La Manta de la Vida" and I showed my first contribution. I was able to finish this second blanket just in time. Muchas manos han hecho posible que se hayan tejido ¡más de 3000 mantas! en tiempo record. No encuentro palabras para expresar el carrusel de emociones que han supuesto estas dos últimas semanas para nosotras... Ahora sólo deseo que todas ellas lleguen a manos de quienes más las necesitan para pasar este invierno.

Many crocheter hands have enabled to get over 3,000 blankets! in record time. These last two week were been a carousel of feelings I can't find words to express... Now I just wish that all the blankets get to the hands of those who most need them to spend this winter.
